smoked 20/30 fags a day for 27 years

just did 6 weeks off champix and am now smoke free - never thought it would work and am now about 4 months without a fag

don't see the point in e-cigs - either smoke fags or don't smoke........!!!!!

It won't be long before people skip real fags and go straight to e-cigs... completely missing the point of the things.

Re: Best E cig?
I'm not sure whether it was contributary to my giving up or not but ..

My mate who moaned and moaned about me smoking for years bought me an e-cig.

Rathere than waste his money I thought I would try it.

For about a week I used it instead of real cigarettes but it came to the fact that it was making me sick so I stopped using it.

I didn't go back to fags and it was hard but I stuck it out - that was 3 years ago and I haven't smoked since.

Moral: Maybe they help but it's only real will power that will stop you in the end.

Are these things safe?, here in Oz you don’t really see them and the anti smoking lobby has already got them banned in Western Australia, there main argument was it doesn’t stop people smoking and appeals to the most vulnerable in society, utter cunt wash I reckon but looks like other states may follow and make it illegal.

As an occasional smoker, im curious to try them out, as much as you hear the argument smoking is a disgusting habit and no one really wants to smoke I do actually enjoy it now and again which is very Un PC of me to say I know, mind you my last puff was in June and a single cigarette so im hardly a hard core .

Small company, but IMO the best E-cigs for the price. Proper hit in the throat and by far the nearest thing to the real thing.

I've just bought a blu electronic cig, to be honest I've no idea whether it's any good . Could someone tell me what the difference is between the electronic and liquid ones apart from the obvious. Is one better than the other or are they about the same.

Variable voltage kits are brilliant if you want to adjust the vapour 'hit' on the throat. Just increase the voltage to increase the hit until you find it meets your requirements.

I use Totally Wicked kit and although it is a bit more expensive than other manufacturers it is decent kit and probably safer than the cheap stuff you see on market stalls.

2 years I have been off the cigs now.

Re: Best E cig?
I'll watch this thread with interest as well. Tried the Nicocig with the cartridges. First two weeks were great I really cut down and the cig gave a real hit to the back of the throat. Unfortunately after that it became just like sucking in air, plus I nearly threw one out of the car window!!!!

I think one of the problems with the ecigs is that they need a buzzer to tell you five minutes is up. Real cigs just go out, but I ended up puffing on the nicocig for hours!!!

Re: Best E cig?
The Aspire Nautilus BVC is a goodie.
Have tried a few and this really does give the vapour the same substance as tobacco.
Get a decent battery (Vision spinner, aspire VV are good) and you're away.
Have used one during the day for a few weeks now but still succumb the odd roll up in the evening.
